It’s time for our weekly look at the men’s basketball teams at Harvard, Boston University and Northeastern.

Harvard has reached two milestones: a 20-win season and an eight-game winning streak. The Crimson picked up two more wins last week, at home over Cornell and Columbia. Harvard has a big one coming up Friday night at Princeton. If the Crimson can win that one, they may be free and clear to win the Ivy League title. They’re currently one game ahead of Yale, and already have a victory over the Bulldogs. And if all of this is not enough, Harvard alum Jeremy Lin has recently been making an impact in the NBA with the New York Knicks.

After dropping two games to the two teams ahead of them in the standings, BU is streaking again in the right direction. The Terriers have won three in a row. The headliner: a 33-point outburst by Darryl Partin in Albany, as the Terriers rallied in the second half to pick up their second win of the season over the Great Danes. Then on Thursday night, BU defeated Maine at The Roof, 67-54, putting the Terriers above .500 for the first time this season.  Barring a letdown down the stretch, the Terriers look to be, at the very least, a solid No. 3 seed heading into the America East tournament.

Northeastern is heading in the other direction. The Huskies have dropped three straight, including back-to-back narrow defeats on the road against VCU and Georgia State.  NU is 7-7 in the CAA, and will wrap up the road trip on Saturday against William and Mary.
